February 2 - Groundhogs day. Also Dad and Greg's birthday. We decided to go all out this year and have a real Groundhogs day shindig...The decorating crew really got into the spirit and Chris wowed us with a groundhogs day house that he just threw together...
Chris was even astounded at his own skill...
Just like all our events the first thing was eating and visiting. Everyone seemed to enjoy the "Groundhog" (hot sausage if you must know), groundhog greens and other groundhog delicacies...
hmm... what is Sam doing here? I do not condone underage drinking... Sam, oh, Sam, why are you trying to get me into trouble...
Then, like many of our parties we played cheesy Groundhog games. Steve and Jessie were in charge of them...
...there may have been a few hard feelings cuz Steff had some extra help on the games...
After the games it was time to get ready for the big event....Puxatawney Cosmos trying to see his shadow...last minute preparations were made...
...the crowd gathered and - well, you'll have to take my word for it that Cosmos came out of the house and saw his shadow. The crowd cheered. We just didn't take a picture. Sad, really...maybe next year.
